Actors Christina Hendricks (Mad Men, Good Girls) and Geoffrey Arend (Madame Secretary, Super Troopers) announced on Instagram that they were separating after ten years of marriage. “12 years ago we fell in love and became partners. We joined our two amazing families, had countless laughs, made wonderful friends, and were blessed with incredible opportunities,” they said. “Today we take our next step together, but on separate paths. We will always be grateful for the love we’ve shared and will always work together to raise our two beautiful dogs.” Speaking of dogs, Arend posted photos of himself nestled in dogs on the couple’s anniversary. “Anytime you’re feeling low, bookend yourself in dogs,” he wrote. “Can’t recommend it enough.” Hendricks was introduced to Arend by her Mad Men co-star Vincent Kartheiser, according to People.
